Squad

Your players: name, a 1st and 2nd position preference, and ★ key players (used by the bench rule). When building the plan, a player takes their 1st-preference position when a spot is open, otherwise their 2nd.

Define each position and its type — Attack, Midfield, Defence. The goalkeeper is automatic.

Pick positions into each line; slots must total the outfield count (team size − 1). Saved formations appear in the Plan tab's Formation dropdown.

Terms of Use & Privacy Notice

Welcome to Touchline Genie ("the App"). By signing in and using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Touchline Genie ("we", "us").

1. Who can use the App

The App is for adults — coaches, team managers and club administrators — who organise junior soccer teams. Access is invite-only. You must be at least 18 and authorised by your club to manage its team data. The App is not intended to be used by children.

2. What the App does

It helps you plan fair substitutions and rotations, record availability, positions, goalkeepers and match results, and share this with your team's other authorised members. It does not provide medical, coaching or safeguarding advice.

3. Your account

Keep your login details secure and don't share them. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the App unlawfully or to enter unlawful, offensive or infringing content; access or attempt to access data that isn't yours; probe, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the App or its security; copy, resell, sublicense or build a competing product from it; or remove any ownership/attribution notices.

5. Player and personal information (privacy)

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

  • Roles. You (and your club) decide what personal information to enter and are responsible for having the authority and any necessary parental/guardian consent to enter it. We host and process that information on your behalf to provide the App.
  • What we collect. Your account email (for sign-in); and the team data you enter — player names or initials, availability, positions, goalkeeper choices, match dates, opponents, scores and per-player stats.
  • Data minimisation. Please use first names or initials for children and do not enter sensitive information (e.g. health, contact details, dates of birth, photos). The App does not ask for these.
  • How we use it. Only to run the App for you — generating plans, saving your team's data, and syncing it to your team's other authorised members and your devices. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
  • Storage & security. Data is stored using our cloud provider (Supabase) and may be processed in the South Asia (Mumbai) region; where that is outside Australia, APP 8 applies. Access is restricted by row-level security so only your team's members can see your team's data, and data is encrypted in transit.
  • Disclosure. We share personal information only with the service providers we use to run the App, and where required by law.
  • Retention & deletion. You can delete a team, age group or club in the App, which permanently removes its stored data. To delete your account, contact us.
  • Access & correction. You can view and edit your team data in the App directly. For access to or correction of your account information (APP 12/13), contact us at rashed.rafiq@gmail.com.
  • Children. Only enter a child's personal information if you are authorised and have any consent your club's policy requires.
  • Data breaches. We follow the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
  • Complaints. Contact us first at rashed.rafiq@gmail.com; you may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

6. Our intellectual property

The App — including its code, design, structure, layout, name and look-and-feel — is owned by Touchline Genie and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App to manage your team while these Terms apply. You must not copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, resell or create derivative works from the App, or use it to develop a competing product.

7. Your data stays yours

You keep ownership of the team data you enter. You grant us a licence to host, store, process and display that data solely to provide the App to you and your team. Any feedback you give us we may use without obligation to you.

8. Your warranties

You confirm you have the right and authority to enter the data you provide and to grant the licence in clause 7.

9. Availability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Always sanity-check a generated plan before a match.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, to the maximum extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to resupplying the App or, where the App was paid for, the amount you paid in the prior 12 months.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms. You can stop using the App at any time and delete your data as described above.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we'll ask you to accept the new version next time you sign in.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that place.
